One animal can be another's hero....

After losing his mother, this 3 year old orangutan was so depressed he wouldn't
eat and didn't respond to treatments. The zoo veterinarians thought he would surely die from sadness.
It happened that the zoo keepers discovered a derelict dog on the grounds and
took him to the animal treatment center. The dog arrived at the same time the
orangutan was there being treated. The two lost souls met, and have been
inseparable ever since.
The orangutan found a new reason to live. The two are together 24 hours a day
in all their activities. They live in Northern California where swimming is
their favorite pastime, although Roscoe (the orangutan) is a little afraid of
the water and needs his friend's help to swim.
